Our Firm is composed of two partners, Michèle Stern, founding partner, an independent attorney since 1996 after a few years spent as an in-house counsel and law firm associate, and Carine Raimbaud, who joined the Firm in 2014 after a career as general counsel.



Michèle STERN

Michèle Stern began her career as an international contract lawyer within the Alcatel group (Paris-France and Palo Alto- USA), where she worked for five years. She then became an associate of Phillips et Giraud Law Offices (Paris). A member of the Paris Bar since 1991, Michèle Stern brought her experience in commercial and international trade law to the law firm that she founded in 1996 and which in 2010 became PRS Law Offices and has now become Stern & Raimbaud.

Michèle Stern’s practice is centered on commercial operations, more particularly those relating to information technology, renewable energy, innovation and the fashion industry.

Her expertise in the business sectors and her familiarity with the key issues of the corporate world, together with her experience in cross-cultural international business transactions make Michèle Stern highly suitable to provide advice in the decision-making process for large groups as well as for small companies and start-ups, with regard to structuring their contractual policies as well as drafting and negotiating their commercial agreements.

A member of the French Institute of International Legal Experts,  who successfully completed training classes in continued education methodologies, Michèle Stern has developed extensive experience as an expert in the field of cooperation projects funded by the European Union. She also intervenes as a teacher within continued education programs and within such structures as the  Paris-Dauphine University and the  Audencia business school. In coordination with foreign law practitioners and institutions she also took part in international cooperation programs for justice reform and in support of the legal profession.

A graduate of the University of Paris V Law school, Michèle Stern holds a Master’s degree and an Advanced Graduate Degree in European Law (DEA – DES – 1982, European Center, Nancy, France). She is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.

Carine Raimbaud has extensive experience working as a general counsel, both for listed and unlisted corporations. After completing the Paris Bar exam, she joined the PRS law firm (currently Stern & Raimbaud) in 2014. During the preceding 8 years she worked in B to B services (as General Counsel of the Altran group) and for 19 years she held positions as general counsel in the B to B and B to C industries at Alcatel-Lucent, Atlinks, and Technicolor.

Carine Raimbaud favors pragmatic and transversal approaches to her clients’ needs, taking into account the company’s internal constraints and key strategic and business issues. Her extensive experience makes her uniquely qualified to act as a trusted advisor for the various business areas represented within enterprises (general management, commercial and support functions, technical expertise) as well as to carry out missions in project mode.

She also provides individual courses in training and legal-risk awareness for her clients’ operational and functional teams.

Carine Raimbaud is a lecturer at HEC’s Post-Master’s degree program on “management of large scale projects”.

Carine Raimbaud obtained her Master’s degree in international trade law at the University of Paris X in 1987. She is fluent in French and English.
